Functional Precision Cancer Medicine
Cancer treatment leading to cures is often impeded by cancer heterogeneity, and the development of resistance to therapy. In practice today, large groups of patients receive the same cancer treatment schemes despite complex individual variability and disease evolution. To address these challenges the Kallioniemi group develops and uses cutting-edge technologies in functional precision medicine. The overall goal being improved patient care through the translational implementation of methods that identify the best treatment for each individual patient at the right time. We offer MSc projects for highly qualified applicants, who want to perform demanding and rewarding projects. Applicants should have interest in some of our key research areas, including: high-throughput screening, leukemia, ovarian cancer, bladder cancer, molecular determinants of drug response, onco-immunology, and bioinformatics. |
