The aim of the project is to assess longitudinal expression of cardiac conduction system markers in cardiomyocytes derived from human pluripotent stem cells (CM-hIPSC). The student will study gene and proteins expression of selected markers of the cardiac conduction system in CM -hIPSC at different timepoints from start of differentiation. The student will use methods like rtPCR for gene expression detection and and fluorescent in situ hybridisation for detetction of proteins. In addition electrophysiological assessment of cardiomyocyte performance will be made.
